Bob, if you already re-attached your main and reserve hoses, then yes, they are the breather hoses. I found that they route and dead end resting between the head and the chrome head covers. I cut them short and let them stick out in a downward postition. I think they are part of the problme with the Savage carb stumbling problems because they are too long and become pinched not letting the carb vent properly. I just want to make sure we are talking about the same hoses. The main fuel hose is connects straight out of the petcock and into the carb connector on left side (sitting on bike). The reserve hose has the metal spring protector around it and connects to the bottom outlet of the petcock. If you already have them connected, the hoses your talking about are just vent tubes.
